Week Four.
January 27th - February 3rd It has almost been one whole month since I have been in Singapore! I thought that I would have had a harder time adapting to the fast-paced lifestyle here in Singapore but I think I have always kept myself busy these past few semesters that it comes to me naturally. As my friends and I have been studying abroad at NUS for a whole month, at heart we're all still a bunch of tourist at heart. This week Wednesday, a few of my friends came along with me to run errands at the mall and were planning to travel further to grab lunch at an Indian restaurant but it started pouring cats and dogs so we decided to find a place nearby. Inside the mall we found an All You Can Eat Korean Barbecue restaurant for only $19.90 SGD!!! That's even cheaper than AYCE-KBBQ places back in Hawaii! On Friday, we went out to a gelato store near Bugis Station called Tom's Palette. They had really interesting flavors like salted egg yolk and white chocolate seaweed. I ended up getting Granny's Special (Chocolate creme with chocolate chips and cookie dough) and Coffee Cheesecake! They were both delicious but Via Gelato back on Oahu is still my favorite gelato store ever. The majority of the photos on this weeks' blog post is from this Saturday when we went to Marina Bay Sands ArtScience Museum Singapore. They had three main exhibitions; Disney Magic of Animation The Exhibition, Future World | Where Art Meets Science and 2219:Futures Imagined. The exhibition I took photos mostly of was the Disney exhibition where they displayed some of the original sketching from the animations and also short clips of the animations being put together. |
